Ebony (Gabon)

Ebony Gabon is a dark wood from Equatorial West Africa. It is generally jet-black but may have dark brown or grayish brown streaks.  Ebony Gabon is considered difficult to work with due to its high density and oil content.  It is often used for instruments and other small craft projects.  Janka Hardness: 3080
